Make a "Pecha Kucha" Style Presentation with timed slide advance

PechaKucha is a simple presentation format where you show a fixed number of slides in a fixed time interval in which the slides advance automatically as you talk along to the images. To achieve this in Haiku Deck, look for playback controls on the slide playback page. Here are the steps:

  1. Look for the gear icon to the right of your slides.
  2. Click the gear icon to reveal the time intervals for automatic slide advance. Choose the time interval you want from the menu that appears when you click the gear icon. Most Pecha Kucha presentations are 20x20, meaning 20 slides in 20 seconds.
  3. After you choose the time interval for automatic slide advance on the playback settings menu, click PLAY at the bottom of the same menu

Note: Most users will want to be in full screen mode on the playback page. To enter full screen mode, choose the icon shown in the illustration below. When you do this, the gear icon will move to the lower right corner, below your slides.

The alternative to using Haiku Deck's built-in playback settings is to use Haiku Deck's download feature to get your file in .pptx file format. With that downloaded file you can open and control the playback settings from within another app like PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.
