If you're presenting on a widescreen display (16:9), it's likely that you will have black bars on the left and right, framing your slides. This is because the iPad has fullscreen dimensions (4:3), and Haiku Deck currently generates decks with slides featuring those dimensions. We've built the Web App to work the same way.
