Sharing

There are lots of ways you can share your deck, but Haiku Deck has buttons to make it easy to share straight to a few specific locations. Just click or tap the SHARE button for your deck. Several options to share your deck via social channels, export and embed, will pop up for you to share to your deck.

Finding the SHARE button

On the web, in edit mode: top right corner

On the web, in My Decks:

On the web, on your deck's playback page: Share easily with the icons below your deck. If you don't see buttons, make sure you're not in edit mode, and you're not in fullscreen (the esc key on your keyboard will get you out of fullscreen playback)

On the iPad app, from the Main Menu: Simply swipe to bring your deck to focus and tap the share button on the deck thumbnail (square with an arrow pointing upward).

On the iPad app, from edit mode: Use the share button in the top right corner. The icon is a square with an arrow pointing upward.

Deck Description

This is effectively your meta description, and it’s the default text that will appear when your deck is shared to social sites like Facebook or LinkedIn.

Deck Categories

Choosing an accurate category for your deck will help drive SEO and, in the future, keep your decks organized.

Choosing and Changing Deck Privacy Settings

Click here to learn more about the different privacy settings for your deck, and how you can change them at any time.

Sharing from the iPad App

Facebook

If you're signed into your Facebook account in your iPad's settings, you can easily share to Facebook. Tapping the Share button and choosing Facebook will allow you to choose your audience, the accompanying text for your deck (the 'status' text accompanying the link to your deck on Facebook), and your location. You can leave the settings as they are or edit them, then tap Post in the top right to send it to Facebook.

Twitter

If you're signed into your Twitter account in your iPad's settings, you can easily Tweet your decks. Tapping the Share button and choosing Twitter will allow you to choose your location and the accompanying text for your deck (the tweet text accompanying the link to your deck on Twitter). You can leave the settings as they are or edit them, then tap Post in the top right to send it to Twitter.

Email

If you have an email account (or accounts) set up in your iPad's settings, tapping Email from the Share window will open a compose window you can email a link to your deck from. You can edit the subject and body text if you'd like, or leave them as they are; enter the email addresses for your desired recipients, and tap Send in the top right corner to send the email. Your recipients will not need the Haiku Deck app or a Haiku Deck account to visit the link - just make sure your deck's privacy is set to public or restricted.

Post to Blog

If you have an email account (or accounts) set up in your iPad's settings, tapping Post to Blog from the Share window will open a compose window you can email the embed code for your deck from by tapping Send in the top right. You can send it to yourself to copy and paste from easily, or you can simply copy and paste from this window and tap Cancel in the top left if you'd like. Read more about how to use that embed code here.

PPTx/ Keynote

If you have an email account (or accounts) set up in your iPad's settings, tapping PPT/Keynote from the Share window will open a compose window you can email a PowerPoint / Keynote version of your deck from as an attachment. You can edit the subject and body text if you'd like, or leave them as they are; enter the email addresses for your desired recipients, and tap Send in the top right corner to send the email. Your recipients will not need the Haiku Deck app or a Haiku Deck account to open the attachment.

*** Note deck export is a feature available to subscribers of Haiku Deck Pro.

Copy URL

Tapping Copy URL in the Share window will copy the URL for your deck to your iPad's clipboard, so you can paste it elsewhere (like a browser window, an email, an iMessage, etc.). Read more on copying and pasting on the iPad, and the clipboard, here.

Other ways of sharing from the iPad

If you'd like to share to LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc. you can either use the COPY URL button to copy a link to your deck to paste elsewhere, or you can copy the URL and then paste it into your browser, and share it from the web with the steps below.

Sharing from haikudeck.com

Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, SlideShare, & Google Plus

Clicking the Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, SlideShare, or Google Plus buttons will ask you to sign in to whatever account type you'd selected, unless you're already signed in. From there, you can edit the text accompanying the link to your deck if you'd like to, and share easily.

Email

Clicking Email from the Share window will ask you to sign into your email account, and from there you can send an emailed link to anyone you'd like.

HTML Embed

Copying the HTML embed code for your deck will allow you to paste it into your blog or website easily. Read more about how to use that embed code here. Read more on copying and pasting here.
