Looking for a free, easy way to make beautiful presentations and have fun doing it? Welcome to Haiku Deck.
It's a simple app where you can put together awesome slide decks, taking advantage of an library of over 35 million free images to use as backgrounds. It features simple, elegant themes and layouts to keep your presentation looking attractive and entertaining, and it's available for PC, Mac, Chrome OS, and the iPad and iPhone.
If you've ever suffered through an awful PowerPoint presentation (we have, and feel your pain), then Haiku Deck is definitely a breath of fresh air.
How much does it cost?
Haiku Deck is free and includes access to over 35 million free images and six free themes; additional themes as well as premium images from Getty Images are available for purchase on the iPad. Over time we will continue adding optional premium features, but the core functionality is free.
You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can make a Haiku Deck that looks amazing! Download the free iPad app, and tap the ? any time for onscreen tips and links to more resources. Or, create an account on haikudeck.com and click New Deck to take our Web App (currently in beta) for a spin. You can also check out our extensive Haiku Deck User Guide, and the Haiku Deck Blog is updated frequently with tips and examples.
Can I import from / export to PowerPoint?
While importing from PowerPoint isn't a built-in feature yet, there is a workaround that's pretty straightforward. Exporting to PowerPoint is super easy.
Can I use my own pictures?
Of course! In addition to all the free images available, you can add pictures or screenshots from your computer, camera roll, or photo stream or import images from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, Picasa, Google Drive, or Box. Read more about importing images to Haiku Deck.
Can I see some examples of what Haiku Decks look like?
We recommend taking a look at our Pinterest Boards to see specific examples grouped by categories like Education, Business, Real Estate, and Blogging. Our Featured Gallery is also a great place to see some of our favorite decks.
Why should I switch to Haiku Deck?
Well, aside from our devilishly good looks and time-traveling skills, we are constantly working our butts off so that you don't have to. Haiku Deck is super easy to use, free, versatile, and supported on multiple platforms. You can throw a deck together lickity split and it'll look fabulous, and if you need to share it or present it, there are oodles of options available.
Plus, if you get stuck at all, we'll help you out with some of the most personal support you've probably ever experienced. There are probably one of three people that will write you back, and none of them are robots. Fancy that! You've got a teeny tiny all-star team at your disposal, comprised of yours truly (Erin Michael), our customer evangelist and all-around awesome Lisa, and our CEO Adam, who likes staying up late and answering emails. (Hey, I'm not complaining.)
It's super intuitive and easy to use, so you can hit the ground running and make something you're really proud of in less time than it took me to write this article.
